Thomas Schmidt

Psychologist MSc | Executive MBA

Navigating complex structures, aligning partnerships, executing strategic change. Having spent many years as COO and HR Director Europe for a leading international law firm, I have first-hand, practical experience of the levers that drive profitable growth and high-performing leadership cultures. Today, I support organisations as an interim or fractional manager during business-critical transitions – including AI-driven transformation – and as a coach in developing the next generation of leaders.

With a foundational background as a psychologist, I began my career in human resources and organisational development at Allianz before stepping into the role of Global Head of L&D as well as HR Director Europe at a leading international law firm. Ultimately, I served as a C-level executive for many years. Following the completion of my Executive MBA, I co-led — together with the Managing Partner — the firm's German and subsequently European business with revenues of more than €800 million.

Today, I leverage my extensive executive experience to advise organisations, effectively guiding transformations and supporting management teams in successfully leading their businesses into the future in the era of AI.
